~ MOUNTAIN SUMMIT ~

Begin by sitting comfortably. Take a deep slow breath inward through your nose as far as you can go.
Hold for the count of three, then breathe out through your mouth slowly as far as you can go, repeat twice.
Allow your entire body to relax, starting from your feet, one bit at a time until you reach the top of your head.
Now place all the days stresses and worries in a basket, tie the basket to a balloon and allow it to float away.
Sit calmly and peacefully, concentrate on your steady breathing and total relaxation.

Now symbolically stand from your chair and walk to your door. Open the door, walk through and close it.
You begin to walk down a beautiful country lane, with pretty hedgerows and fields on either side of you.
You see a stile in the hedgerow, climb over and join a pathway across a field full of wild flowers.
Follow the path for a while, enjoy the scent of flowers and the warm summer breeze in your hair.
Birds and Butterflies fly freely all around you, playful wild animals stop to watch you as you pass.

Now you come to a little stream with stepping stones to the other side. The water gently trickles over the rocks.
Walk across the stepping stones, you are perfectly safe and your feet won`t get wet as you do so.
Step onto the ground on the other side of the stream and stand still, listen to the peace that surrounds you.
You become aware of a presence as you are joined by a spirit who will accompany you on the rest of your journey.
It could be your spirit guide, guardian angel, a loved one or someone else you may wish to meet.
There could be more than one, whoever you are meant to meet will be there.  

Your spirit companion leads you further down the path until you reach the foot of a magnificent mountain.
The path continues up the mountain, disappearing into the distance as it gets higher and further away.
You begin to ascend the mountain, as you walk you realise it isn`t as difficult as it first appeared to be,
your steps become lighter and the climb becomes easier as you progress, you quickly reach the mountain top.
Now you are at the mountain summit. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The view is breathtakingly beautiful.

There is a seat nearby overlooking the view. Your spirit companion beckons you to sit on the seat.
This is your time, take this time to relax, ask questions or get to know your spirit companion better.
You may be given a gift, a message, some information, something to eat or drink, or a combination of these.
Accept whatever you are given with the love in which it is given to you with.
Stay as long as you need to, your companion will tell you when it`s time to leave!

Now it is time to return from your mountain journey. Stand from the seat and begin to descend down the path.
Walk back towards the pretty little stream with stepping stones to the other side.
Cross the stepping stones over the stream and thank your spirit companion for everything you have experienced.
Walk back across the field to the stile in the hedgerow. Climb the stile and walk back along the lane to your door.
Open the door, walk through, close the door and return to the chair from which you started your journey.
Slowly begin to bring yourself back, feel your body awakening, move your fingers, toes, arms and legs.
Stretch and shake yourself if you need to, then finally, when you are ready, slowly open your eyes.
