~ RECOGNISING GUIDE ENERGY ~

This is an easy exercise to use, which can help you to learn to recognise the energy of your guide/s, angels and other spirit beings.

First you will need to sit and relax, close your eyes and practise the deep breathing technique we use during meditation.
Once you have a steady relaxed breathing pattern perform the grounding routine and then open your Chakra`s, as we do in class.

Now still your mind and clear it of all worries and outside interferance.
Next invite your guide to come forward and draw as close to you as possible.
Ask for a sign which can be used as a "calling card", so whenever he/she is close to you, you will recognise the sign and the energy and
feeling that comes with it. This may be a tickle somewhere, a feeling of your hair being touched, your head being caressed,
a hug, a feathery/cobwebby feeling on your face, a hand holding yours, a hand on your shoulder, a kiss on the cheek,
a cool or warm sensation, a sound, a light, a scent, a vision etc.

Take notice how you feel and what you sense, feel, hear, smell etc when your guide is close to you.
Don`t worry if you feel emotional, this may be your sign, or because the feeling is overwhelming at first
and it simply means the experience has touched you at soul level.

Now ask your guide to step back a little and take note how you feel now, notice the difference from when your guide is close to you
and when he/she steps back. Don`t worry, he/she knows this is just an exercise to help you and will be happy to take part,
he/she will not step back completely and will still be close by. Again don`t worry if this makes you feel emotional, it`s perfectly normal!

Now ask your guide to step forward as close as possible once more and to repeat the sign for you.
Notice everything as before, you should be feeling, sensing, hearing, smelling, seeing the same things as last time.
This is your confirmation that this is how you can recognise when your guide is close to you.
Now ask him/her to step back so you can tell the difference in the energy.
You can do this each time you are working with your guide so you know he/she is with you and ready.
Prior to beginning to work you can do this exercise in preparation, at least until you know for sure your guide is present without having
to do this routine! Eventually it will become second nature, you will know the energy instinctively and it will just feel normal to you.

If you have more than one guide you can try this with each of them so you can tell the difference in their energies,
or you can ask your doorkeeper, guardian angel or loved ones too!
