~ PSYCHOMETRY ~ ©  Utopia Spiritual Centre Psychometry is a form of scrying. A medium holds an item belonging to someone else, and tries to deliver a reading or message from picking up on the energy through the item. The owner of the item may or may not be present in the room. To do Psychometry, prepare yourself to work with spirit, do your grounding & protection and open your Chakras. Inform your guide/s that you are ready to begin working, and give them permission to come forward and use you as their medium. Ask them to relay any information which may be given to you through the item you are about to read. Hold onto the item you are going to read and concentrate on what you can feel, see, hear or sense from the item. The information may come to you Clairvoyantly (through vision or pictures), Clairaudiently (Through your hearing), Clairsentiently (through sensing or knowing), Telepathically (Through thought) or a combination. The important thing is to give whatever you receive, even if it doesn`t make any sense to you, it might for the person you are reading for (it`s not meant for you so it doesn`t matter if you understand it or not). Don`t try to analyse the information or make it into something else, this will then influence the reading and it will only be your own mind or thoughts instead of actual spiritual evidence. Always take the first thing that comes to you as it`s more likely to be spiritual communication. Once you have established who the item belongs to, they should be able to take all or some of the information you have given them. If not ask them to keep it in mind as it might be something they are unaware of or can`t remember at the present time. They may have given you an object belonging to someone else, in this case they should be able to take the information back to the owner or understand the reading themselves. Don`t worry if they can`t take anything, it takes time to learn how to do Psychometry, but more often than not you will do just fine. Most beginners are quite surprised by their own abilities!
